"I was born in the Russia in city of Volgograd on the largest Russian river, the Volga. The love of drawing came naturally to me; I did not need much to influence me. I was constantly painting, drawing, and coming up with special or surprising subjects. Paints and pencils were my very good friends.
I started studying in a specialized art school for children when I was 10 years old. Classes were three to four hours, 3 times per week…with plenty of homework. I loved it; it was my comfortable environment. When I visit my hometown, I still get to see and talk to my teachers.
At just 15 years old, I continued my art training when I moved away to nearby 'artsy' Saratoff. While being a student I made some of the dearest friends I ever had. I met many interesting artists who I still remember today. Then, 5 years later, it was time for me to meet Saint-Petersburg, a city filled with art and museums which I came there specifically to study. I don’t know if I would be the same person I am now if I had never 'met' Saint-Petersburg with its incredible mood and spirit. It was a good place to be for a young artist. I entered the famous Academy of Industrial Arts, which I graduated from in 2005. During my time there I entered many joint exhibitions.
After graduation, I moved to the New York City area, where I continue painting. Being close to NYC helps me to stay in touch with modern art trends.
My painting style has changed many times throughout my life. While I have strong traditional skills, I like to experiment with different textures, colors, shapes. Art is the way of communication to the world for me and I cannot imagine doing anything else.
I have sold numerous paintings to private collectors in the United States, Canada, France, UK and Germany. One of my personal highlights was being a participant at NYC ArtExpo in 2012." ---COMMISSIONED WORKS AVAILABLE---
